The most enjoyed wines of Sicliy are from Barone Montalto, known in the world for their quality and authenticity.  A blend of the islands’ most famous red grape and the eponymous Cabernet Sauvignon, our red blend is the perfect expression of modern day Sicilian winemaking.

Tasting notes

This wine has an intense ruby color with variating highlights of ruby and crimson. Highly aromatic with a bouquet full of spices, dark fruit and a touch of caramel, which lead into a palate of soft tannins and vanilla spice.

Food pairings

Easily complemented by everyday dishes. the spicy nuances pair well with barbecued meat, pizza, salami and aged cheeses like Pecorino.

WINEMAKING / VINIFICATION:

Maceration for 12-15 days at 26° C with daily pump overs.

AGING & BOTTLING:

Once racked, a portion of the wine is aged in small French oak barrels and the remaining in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

ELEVAGE:

Fining method used Gelatin . Filtration: Sterile filtration 0,45μm Stabilization: Continuous.
